Smash Book

Hello! And welcome to the official page for my smash book! I will keep this up dated with pictures and maybe even little video's... who knows? Lets get started!
May:          Hello!  Yesterday my brand new SMASH book arrived. It took a while to get here because it was coming from far away, but finally it arrived! I got the retro blue binder from Amazon for £12.71 which for smash books is not bad. For those of you who don't even know what a smash book is, it is basically a scrap book. But the difference is that you don't have to make it all pretty and well done, because lets face it how many people have enough time to make a pretty scrap book? I know I don't, maybe you do but I love the idea of just 'Smashing' it all in. As mine has only recently arrived I haven't done very much in it. But what I have done isn't that great so I wont show you that... anyways. The smash books come with a pen, that is black, and it has a pen at one end and a glue stick at the other. The glue stick is fairly short so probably wont last too long but it will do until it does so. I enjoy just making things (as you may have noticed) and this is the best place to put all of your stuff. In the front page there is a poem which is completely and utterly true. Here it is:

Its okay. Just smash it in
There's always room, just like a junk drawer.
Nothings right :) Nothings wrong :(
It's all YOURS. We say glue in the gladness
A note, a "Quote". A thought to JOT
A snipping, a clipping, the idea that's caught
A card, a regard, a tidbit, a smidgen.
A doodle of a poodle or the feather of a pigeon
Its the smatterings of ordinary, extraordinary life.
Messy and Beautiful
Thank you for reading (If anyone is actually reading) Hope you enjoyed the start of my SMASH book blogs. Have a great rest of the day!

May: Hi! Hope you all have had great days. Today I thought I would do another smash book blog. As you know, if you read my previous blog, I recently just got my new smash book. Even though the books come with patterns on the front I still feel like they need to have a bit more... sparkle and shine. This is why I have decided to make my Smash book a bit prettier. So now I'm going to do a step by step guide on how to do a Disney's 'Up' style floating house on the front of your smash book.

  1. Collect the coloured buttons that you want and position them onto your smash book.
  2.  Next draw out the style of house you want and colour it in. Make sure that it is the correct size for your smash book.
  3. Stick down all of the objects (Buttons and House)
  4. Draw some lines to join up the house and balloons

And this will be your final product (hopefully)
Really hope you enjoyed reading (and hopefully making) this front cover.

August 16th: Hello! Today I thought I would update you on some of the things I have done in my smash book. Yesterday I decided to stick in some of the things I cut out of a magazine a while back. I decided that I was going to do a Christmas themed page. Here it is:
I also did a page from the beach that I went to a while back now and I just stuck the ice cream spoon I collected inside a card board ice cream, here it is:
